Uncle Ed drove about 2 hours away on last minute notice to come get me from college when my father unexpectedly passed. He was always an inclusive family member & protector, & showed up to help w/ out hesitation. That was his way, and it genuinely showed up.
Ed was a great neighbor to my mom and dad.
Betty is my mother-in-laws niece. Their son Ned (Edward Stanton, Jr.) daughter Karry and son Jeremy were close to the same age as our son Greg. Betty and Ed attended our daughter Pam's wedding reception in August 1993. Wilson Harris, Betty's grandfather, was my husbands uncle. Lots of good memories.
