Eileen R. Boettner's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Eileen Rae Boettner, 81 years of age, passed away Tuesday December 7, 2010 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts., Ohio. Born on July 7, 1929 in Charlestown Township, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel (Esworthy) Boettner. A resident of Garrettsville since 1991, Eileen lived most of her life in Colorado, and also resided in Alaska for a period of time. She truly loved the years of residence in both Colorado and Alaska and marveled at the beauty of both states. She was employed as a secretary for over 30 years at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, retiring in 1991, then moving to Garrettsville to be near her family. Eileen enjoyed knitting, crocheting and had a profound interest in Genealogy. Survivors include her nieces Barbara (David) Spieker of Amherst, Ohio and Elaine (Bob) Long of Garrettsville; her nephew Wayne (Hildegard) Boettner of Noank, CT. and 4 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew. No calling hours. A Memorial Service will be Saturday December 11, 2010 10:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua with Rev. Kris Patt officiating.
