Eleanor R. Harmacek's Obituary
AURORA Eleanor R. Harmacek, 93 years of age, passed away Wednesday September 14, 2016 in Aurora, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 28, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mae (VanCura) Rehor. Eleanor was a longtime Aurora resident and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic?Church in Aurora. She was a graduate of Notre Dame College and a Western Reserve University graduate in 1948 as a Pharmacist, following which she was a practicing pharmacist at various hospitals. Eleanor resided in both Colorado and Kentucky following her retirement until returning to Aurora. In 1946, she married Robert J. Harmacek, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2011. Survivors include her son Robert J. (Susan) Harmacek, Jr. of Aurora and daughter Barbara (Richard) Jackson of Butler, Kentucky, as well as 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Gregory G. Harmacek. No calling hours. Funeral services were held in The Chapel of Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, with final resting place following at Aurora City Cemetery.
