Elizabeth L. Brown's Obituary
MANTUA Elizabeth L. " Betty " ( Toth ) Brown, 82 years of age, passed away Sunday July 11, 2010 at University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center.
Born on July 7, 1928 in Angelica, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank D. and Elizabeth (Halasz) Toth A former longtime Mantua area resident, Betty resided in Miami, Florida for 48 years, where she was employed as a bookkeeper.
She was a former St. Joseph's Church member. Betty enjoyed reading; jig saw puzzles and had a passion for collecting frogs.
Survivors include her sisters Dorothy Rowles of Mantua, Helen Brna of Streetsboro, Florence Crouch of North Olmsted, Verna Phillips of Bedford and Margaret Lawton of California, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Frank L. Toth and her sister Frances Panik.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Thursday at 10:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday July 15, 2010 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating.
Betty will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the National Parkinson Foundation P.O.Box 5018, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741-5018.
