Elizabeth "Bette" Guyette's Obituary
MANTUABette L. Guyette, 64 years of age, went home to the Lord on Tuesday July 6, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bette was born on November 25, 1945 in Cottonwood, Idaho, the daughter of Leo H. and Leona (VonTersch) Nuttman. She grew up on a ranch and graduated from St. Gertrude's Academy High School. Bette then attended and graduated from Kinsman Business College in Spokane, Washington before marrying Jerold A. Guyette, whom was stationed at the Cottonwood Air Force base. After their wedding in Keuterville, Idaho, they returned to Mantua, Ohio and started life on the family dairy farm. After raising the family, she became an EMT as well as being employed at H&R Block. A resident of the Mantua area the past 44 years, Bette was a very active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. She had many hobbies which included personal tax preparation, sewing, quilting, cooking, cake decorating and knitting. Bette had numerous friends, and cherished being a great friend to all. An awesome mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who were touched by her warm and caring nature. Bette was the BEST MOM in the whole world. Bette was well known for her many years of service with the Portage County Board of Elections as a Poll Worker. Bette is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Jerold; her sons David and Larry Guyette both of Mantua; her daughters Donna Guyette of Kent, Ohio and Susan ( James ) Conroy of Suffield, Ohio; her mother Leona Nuttman of Cottonwood, Idaho; her brother Thomas ( Roselyn ) Nuttman of Keuterville, Idaho and sister Vicky ( Ron ) Baerlocher of Kamiah, Idaho. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren Nick, Zack, Isaac, Elaine, Abby, Sarah and Joey who will miss her tremendously as they were always at grandma and grandpa's house. She was preceded in death by her father Leo Nuttman. No calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday July 10, 2010 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating. Final resting place will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Susan G.
