I only heard about Elizabeth's passing a few days ago, through my older brother Charlie and his contacts from Hiram. My mother was Elizabeth's first cousin, so I am once-removed. We didn't know each other well, but I was very fortunate to have some correspondence with her years ago, and some of her original Highlights Hidden Pictures sketches to pass on to my children and grandchildren... even more fortunate to have visited her in her home last year in October, when we chatted about her farm and our family history. She was so welcoming and full of memories and family lore...she was talented and energetic... so lucky to have seen her once more before her passing.
Elizabeth was a very talented and giving artist and writer. She was a font of knowledge about the community of Hiram and a very caring person. She will be missed.
My mother, Edna Taylor Grosse, and Elizabeth were great childhood friends. I enjoyed visiting Elizabeth with my husband and daughter and hearing stories of her life and my mother’s childhood. Her kindness, talent, and intellect were a joy to know. I will miss her tremendously and send my sincerest condolences to her family.
am here to share with you my life experience on how a great man called Dr gbojie saved me and my marriage.I have been Married & Barren for for 5 years i had no child. i have never been pregnant i was a subject of laughter from my Friends & neighbors, i almost lost my marriage because of this issue.i was so confused that i did not know what to do until i came across this great Dr online and i contacted him at once i was scared weather it was going to work because i never believed things like this before, so i decided to give it a try and i did all what Dr gbojie asked of me and today to my greatest surprise i took in the first time and i gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and now my marriage that was about crashing before is now restored. my husband now love and want me better, Am so happy for everything that have been happening in my life since i met this Dr gbojie .I want to tell all the women/men out there who have a similar situation like mine, that the world is not over YET they should dry up their tears and contact this great man and their problem will be gone or are you also having other problems you can also contact [email protected]
Mrs. HENDRICKS and I shared great times together we would talk on the phone daily. Mrs Hendricks was a friend of my mom's Della Beown before she passed. We talked about everything including our cats the weather and sometimes just to say hello. GRANNY you will be sorely missed. Little Granny my cat is sad as well
To the family, my sincere condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to end all suffering. Before long, God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.”(Rev. 21:3,4). May this promise from God give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
Elizabeth worked at the Hiram Public Library when I worked there when I was attending Hiram college. Hiram Public Library became Portage County Library and moved to Garrettsville. She did displays at the library. She painted the librarian's portrait. She was an artist. She used to do the hidden pictures in the Highlight's magazine for kids. She decorated the Hiram church basement for my wedding reception in 1967. She made large orange paper flowers for the event. My sister Wanda(Porter) Vasarhely said Elizabeth was in her class a Hiram Elementary when they were in 3rd grade. Elizabeth got to skip 4th grade so she then graduated in 1949 and Wanda graduated in 1950 from Hiram High School which no longer exists since it consolidated with Crestwood in Mantua.
Elizabeth was my bird buddy;. and a dear friend. She will be be dearly missed. With Love, Joan
