Elizabeth "Betty" Moore's Obituary
SHALERSVILLE TWP.Elizabeth A. "Betty" Moore, age 78 passed away Friday March 29, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Betty was born July 15, 1934 in Shalersville to the late J.O. "Mike" and Evelyn (Snyder) Horner. A 1952 graduate of Mantua-Shalersville High School, Betty worked at the Ravenna Arsenal and Rainbow Restaurant post-graduation. Betty was a beloved cook at Crestwood Middle School for eleven years, and worked for Robert Bossow Inc. of Garrettsville while onsite in North Carolina. She enjoyed tending her garden and house plants as well as photography. Her favorite sites for pictures were local sporting events and the nature scape of her backyard. The time she spent creating cards and photo books for friends, family, and Crestwood graduates will be cherished for many years. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty married Les H. Moore on February 27, 1955, who survives at their home. Betty is also survived by sons Les R. (Yvonne) Moore of Mantua, LeRoy C. (Tracy) Moore of Ravenna, grandchildren Dale (Tiffany) Moore, Brian (fiancAC. Krystal Tena) Moore, Stephanie (Jose) Constanza, and Brittany Moore, great-grandchildren Isabelle, Eli, Isaac, and Cayden, brother Jack (Dorothy) Horner, sister Judy Richardson, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Evelyn Horner, brother Harold, and sister Darlene. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 6pm at the Crossroads Community Church in Shalersville with Dan Tillett officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial services at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mantua-Shalersville Rescue Squad in Betty's name.
