WINDHAM-NEWTON FALLS
Erik James Lough, 38 years of age, passed away of a lifelong illness Wednesday May 30, 2018. Erik was born in Ravenna, Ohio on March 4, 1980. Erik was a special boy who had not 1, but 2 loving mothers Suellen Rosier and Marsha Gibson, and 2 loving fathers Dave Shearer and James Rosier. A resident of Newton Falls since 1989, he had resided in Windham most of his life where he was a 1999 graduate of Windham High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports and especially loved the Steelers. But most of all he loved his family who forever will cherish the smile on his face, and the fact that he could make you laugh even if you were having a bad day. He was a kind, loving giving man who was loved dearly by his family. Erik was a devoted son and brother, as well as a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his brother Dusty Lough, nephew Justin Balch and grandparents Robert and Ethel Shearer. Survivors include his mothers Suellen (James) Rosier of Newton Falls and Marsha (Jerry) Gibson of Toronto, Ohio; fathers Dave (Ronda) Shearer of Windham and James Rosier of Newton Falls; siblings Tonya Lough, Cathy Shearer and Jerry Lough all of Newton Falls, Tammie Shearer and Karen (Tony) VanSteenberg both of Windham and Frankie (Demonthani) of Warren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends who also loved him and will miss Erik dearly.
