Ervin D. Hunter's Obituary
AURORA Ervin D. Hunter, 78 years of age, passed away Monday February 27, 2017 in Aurora, Ohio. Born on August 31, 1938 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mr. Hunter grew up in the Cambridge, Ohio area and was a graduate of Cambridge High School. A resident of Aurora the past 48 years, he had been employed as a contract engineer at General Electric in Ravenna, Ohio. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Xenos Christian Fellowship in Kent, Ohio. Mr. Hunter was an enthusiastic Marathon Runner, having participated in Columbus, Ohio and the Revco & CVS events in Cleveland. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed go-carting. On October 14, 1961, he married Donna Hunter who preceded him in death in 2010.Survivors include his sons David Hunter of St.Clairsville, Ohio; Richard (Sherri) Hunter of Stow, Ohio; Raymond (Cheryl) Hunter of Powell, Ohio; Robert (Chris King) Hunter of Columbus, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Cremation has been held. Memorial calling hours will be Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 1:30 P.M.-3:00 P.M. where a Memorial Service for Mr. Hunter will begin at 3:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Terrance Alesnik. Final resting place will be at Aurora City Cemetery.
