Esther A. Soika (nee Mitchell), 94 years of age, 70 year resident of Warrensville Hts., passed away peacefully Saturday November 3, 2018. She was born November 8, 1923, the cherished daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Benesics) Mitchell. Beloved wife of Stanley E. Soika (deceased October 1996) Dear sister of Helen Mitchell and Betty (John) Butina both deceased. Loving mother of Shirley Soika (John Schwenk), Georgian (Bill) Fetsko, Stella (Tony) Montisano and Anastasia Soika (deceased). Loving grandmother of Trina Castro (Pete Orlando), Holly (Tom) Gedeon, Billy (Katie) Fetsko, Alyssa (Jim) Lewis, Nicholas (Jamie) Montisano, Michael (Kelly Stoebe) Montisano, Jaclyn (Robert McMillan) Montisano, and Amber (Jeff) Hayden. Great-grandmother of Madison, Eli and Noah Orlando, Trystan, Landen, and Preston Gedeon, Anjali, Jazlyn, Kailiana and Kaivanni Fetsko, Jordan and Kayleigh Montisano. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Esther loved doing ceramics, knitting, crochet, cake decorating, stained glass, and clothes making. She’s going to be loved and missed by all of us. No calling hours. Final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Esther A. Soika, 94 years of age, passed away Saturday November 3, 2018 at Twinsburg, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 8, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Benesics) Mitchell. A resident of Warrensville Hts. Since 1951, she was a longtime active member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Cleveland. Mrs. Soika enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, making clothes and was very talented in making stained glass lamps. In 1951, she married her husband Stanley Soika who preceded her in death in 1996. Also preceding was her daughter Anastasia Soika, and her sisters Helen Mitchell and Betty Butina. She is survived by her daughters Shirley (John Schwenk) Soika of Florida, Georgian (Bill) Fetsko of Garrettsville and Stella (Tony) Montisano of Georgia, and 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. No calling hours or services. Final resting place will be at The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
