Eugene L. Shanholtzer's Obituary
RAVENNAEugene L. Shanholtzer, 79 years of age, passed away Saturday October 4, 2014 at his home. Born in Romney, West Virginia on October 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Herman and Naomi (Bean) Shanholtzer. A resident of Ravenna since 2005, he formerly lived in Florida for 42 years. Mr. Shanholtzer had been employed at J.P. Musso Construction, and had operated Red's Back Hoe Service in Fort Lauderdale, Florida retiring in 1989. Mr. Shanholtzer enjoyed traveling with his wife in the United States and Canada with their Tag Along RV for many years. On December 19, 1953, he married Doris J. (Maxson) Shanholtzer who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Phillip ( Nancy ) Shanholtzer of Arizona, Sharon Shanholtzer of Maine and Pamela ( Kelly) Crutchfield of Sagamore Hills, brothers Gerald of Tennessee, David of Chagrin Falls, sisters Janice ( Rutherford ) Ron Richardson of West Virginia, Dorothy ( Jack ) Horner of Hiram, Barbara Kylin of Columbus, Ohio and Karen ( John ) Harper of Mantua. 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his son Michael in 2006, brothers John and Larry, sister Rebecca Ann Perry and 2 great-grandchildren. All services are private. At his request please omit flowers. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
