Evelyne B. Tafel's Obituary
Evelyne B. Tafel, age 95, passed away peacefully August 10th at her home in Aurora.
Born December 25, 1929 in Maple Heights, she was the beloved wife of Robert F. Tafel for 62 years, residing in Hiram. She was the loving mother of Frederick Tafel and Jane (Michael) Smilanich (all deceased), and, along with her husband and children, was preceded in death by great grandson, David Newton.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Deborah Tafel, granddaughters Kathryn (Matthew) Newton, Elena (Keith) Yoder and great grandchildren: Rebecca; Benjamin; Charlotte and Samuel Newton. Evelyne was excited to learn that another great grandchild, baby Yoder, is on the way next spring.
Evelyne worked for many years as a school bus driver for Crestwood Schools, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed puzzles, especially Scrabble, and watching Indians baseball, game shows and Ice Road Truckers.
