Evona M. Myers' Obituary
Evona M. Myers Shalersville Evona M. Myers, 49 years of age of Shalersville, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts., Ohio. She was born on August 4, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Ronald and Helen (Koloini) Greene. A resident of the Shalersville area since 1987, Evona was employed as a purchasing agent at S.S.P. Fittings in Twinsburg for over 20 years. A "Band Mom", Evona was active with all aspects of the Crestwood High School Marching Band as a volunteer. Her many interests included teaching ceramic classes and taking hundreds of photos of her children's activities and of life as she lived it. Her most enjoyable times were the many vacations taken with her husband and her... Girls... Girls... Girls who she loved so very much and the traveling world wide that they did will always be cherished memories for her family. On October 4, 1980, Evona married Michael I. Myers who survives at their home. Also surviving are her daughters, Nicole and Karla Myers, both at home; her mother, Helen Greene of Shalersville; her father, Ronald Greene of Tennessee and her dear caring friends and devoted extended family members who have been such a part of her life. Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service in Mantua. Funeral services for Evona will begin Wednesday at the Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M. with the Rev. Jeff Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Crestwood High School Marching Band in her name.
