Florian Maruszak's Obituary
Florian Maruszak, age 69 of Mantua Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Born on April 18, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Steve and Louise (Posavad) Maruszak.
Florian was the deeply devoted husband of 47 years to Antoinette "Toni" Maruszak (Szczepanski), and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. A loving father, he leaves behind a legacy through his children: David Maruszak (deceased), Mary Beth Kressler, Kristen (Brandon) Jusek, and Katie Maruszak. Florian was also the adored "Grumps" to his grandchildren Samantha, Jaxon, Layla, and Logan Kressler; Skylar & Reese Jusek; and Sofia Alvarez, who will miss his playful spirit and gentle guidance.

A proud 1974 graduate of South High School in Cleveland. He went on to become a self-employed food distributor, a career that not only supported his family but also allowed him to give back to the community he loved. He was known for his generosity, often donating food from his business to local food banks, a testament to his kind and thoughtful nature.
Florian's interests were as grounded and nurturing as he was. An avid gardener and beekeeper, he found solace in nature and the outdoors. His hands were rarely still, as he was always planting trees, fixing what was broken, and improving the world around him. Florian was also known for his willingness to lend a hand to others, embodying the true spirit of a helpful neighbor and friend.
Never one to complain, Florian was the epitome of hardworking and funny, often lightening the mood with his quick wit and warm humor. His presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him. Florian was kind, generous, and thoughtful-qualities that he demonstrated daily through his actions and interactions with those around him.
