Francis I. Petrie's Obituary
Francis “Frank” Ian Petrie of Shalersville passed away with his family by his side, on March 4th, 2024. Francis was born in Hamilton, Ontario to Norman and Margaret R (MacDonald)Petrie on March 19th, 1953. Francis was a resident of Shalersville most of his life. Francis was a machinist along with a mold and die maker. Francis attended Crestwood, where he met the love of his life, Joyce Campano. Just two kids who spent the rest of their lives together. Celebrating 50 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, Francis is survived by his Daughter Tanya Potts of Shalersville; twins Sarah Toothman (Patrick) and Shaun Petrie (Kerry) of Mantua; and youngest daughter Crystal (Mark) of Shalersville; beloved brother David and sister-in-law Kim of Nelson; grandchildren Kayleigh; Penny (Sean); Ashley (Max); Brittany; Trenton; Brooklyn; Teryn; Taylor; Aleah; Cally; Raelinn; and Skylar. Great grandchildren Deky James, baby Joseph Michael Tomich due in June. Also survived by brother -in-law Terry Campano, as well as sister-in-law Jean Campano, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents Norman and Margaret Petrie; brother-in-law Louis Campano Jr,, and sister-in-law Sharon Campano.
Francis enjoyed spending time with his family. Some would say he was a gun enthusiast. He always looked forward to his yearly fishing and camping trip with his son, Shaun and brother, David.

His wishes for cremation are being honored. Family and friends may gather in remembrance for a service and viewing at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, (at the corner of ST. RT. 44), in Mantua, on Saturday March 9, 2024 from 1-3 pm.
