Frank O. Gentile's Obituary
MANTUAFrank O. Gentile, 83 years of age, a Mantua area resident the past 9 years, passed away Wednesday October 14, 2009 at Maplewood Care Center in Streetsboro. Born on October 11, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Frank and Marie (Leo) Gentile. Frank was employed as a mail handler for the railroad. A former resident of Twinsburg, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Frank loved to shop, cooking Italian food and the special time spent with his brother Mario. Survivors include his daughter Marcella "Marcie" (Robert Kachenko) Gentile of Mantua, his son Frank J. (Donna) Gentile of Sullivan, Ohio, his brother Mario Gentile of Aurora and sister Michelle Schmidt of Sylvania, Ohio 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nelda T. Gentile in 2003 and his dear 4 legged child Markie. Funeral services will be Monday October 19, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. Monday until the time of service. Officiating will be Rev.Fr. James Lang of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Windham. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park with military honors.
