Frank L. Toth's Obituary
Mantua - Frank L. Toth, 77 years of age of Mantua, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at University Hospital - Geauga Medical Center in Chardon. Frank was born on April 19, 1932 at the Toth family farm residence in Mantua Township, the son of the late Frank D. and Elizabeth (Halasz) Toth. A lifetime resident of the Mantua area, he was a graduate of Mantua Schools and attended Kent State University majoring in Architectural Drawing. He was employed as a draftsman at Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton, Ohio until his retirement. He also worked the family farm all of his life assisting his parents and continued to farm after his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. Frank was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Frank enjoyed flowers and gardening, fishing and square dancing. He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Brown of Solon, Margaret Lawton of California, Verna Phillips of Bedford, Florence Crouch of North Olmsted, Helen Brna of Streetsboro and Dorothy Rowles of Mantua. Frank was also the loving "Uncle Frank" to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 1984, his mother in 1988 and his sister, Frances Panik. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Saturday at 10:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua with The Rev. Fr. Michael Garvey officiating. Frank will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township where he will receive full military honors. Acting as pallbearers will be Dean Crouch, Douglas Crouch, George Brna, Craig Brna, John Butauski and Carl Eaton.
