Franklin Pingley's Obituary
WINDHAM Franklin R. Pingley, Jr., 64 years of age, passed away Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Tri-Pointe Medical Center in Concord Township. Born in Junior, West Virginia on August 14, 1947, he was the son of the late Franklin R. and Blanche (Hymes) Pingley, Sr. A lifetime resident of Windham, he had graduated from Newton Falls High School. A.U.S. Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam Era, he earned the rank of Sergeant. Following his military duty, Mr. Pingley was employed by the Department of Naval Affairs in Cleveland, Ohio. He was an avid fisherman in his spare time. Survivors include his daughter Christina Pingley of Warren, Ohio, brother Charles Pingley of Holland, Ohio, sisters Barbara Simmons and Sharon Cowger both of Garrettsville and many nieces and nephews. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday June 15, 2012 at Windham Township Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Peter King officiating. Military honor's will then be provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, assisted by members of Windham American Legion Post No. 679. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
