Deepest condolences to the Sittner familyI worked and traveled with Fred for many years at Middough the last few of which were in Lima, Ohio. He was very thorough and talented but most of all, had a great sense of humor! Bailed me out many times.
One day, Fred and his dad was visiting us when we still lived in Ohio. Freds dad was a German sailor and was captured when his ship was severely damaged in a Naval battle. I asked him what motivated him to come to America. His answer was simple. He told me that he was treated so humanely as a POW, that he pledged to himself to do everything that he could do to raise his family in the USA. I would like to thank Mr. Sittner for following through with his commitment. We all had Fred in our lives because of it.
It was a pleasure working with Fred--always had a smile on his face, and that's how I'll always remember him. My condolences to the family. So sorry for your loss.
Many people go through their entire life and never have a friend as great as Fred. I was fortunate to have had that opportunity for nearly 50 years. During the 70's and early 80's we shared many import beers and great times full of laughs. After I moved South to Georgia, we kept in touch over the years. I miss Fred very much, but I know his suffering is now over. Will never forget you. May you rest in peace.
Fred 'soitenly' was a pleasure at work and on the road. I will wear a Blue Shirt today and try to eat "The Americana" in his honor. I am sure he is watching a continuous loop the Stooges and Lil' Rascals now. Rest in Peace, buddy.
I will always cherish the great conversations I had with Fred while working at Middough. We also traveled together and shared many a laugh about the Stooges and Li'l Rascals. He always had time to spare. RIP my Friend. My thoughts and prayers for strength are with you Amy and your family.
I met Fred on my first day in college. I was just out of the military and being older than everyone, I didnt know what to expect. Fred and I, and a few others became instant friends. This friendship would last almost 50 years. We got together countless times, and we always had so much fun. We worked together, until I moved to Atlanta. We still talked and stayed in touch weekly. He and his entire family will always mean so much to me. Fred was as loyal and trustworthy as any friend could be. I miss him very much. God Bless him.
Worked with Fred at McKee and Middough. He was always there for you when you needed him. He had a heart of gold, a good guy who loved his family. Ferd, you were taken much too soon. Deepest condolences to the entire Sittner family.
