Frederick W. Holtz's Obituary
AUBURN TWP. - Frederick W. Holtz, 58 years of age of Auburn Township, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at his residence. Born on February 25, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio he was the son of Bernard S. and Anna Marie (Pope) Holtz. A longtime resident of the Auburn area, he was a graduate of Kenston High School and then earned his Associates Degree from Kent State University. Mr. Holtz was employed as a warehouse operator for 15 years at Western Electric and then by Kenston School District as a custodian for several years. He was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Newbury. Fred enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, his dogs and for those who came to know Fred, they will always remember his unique sense of humor. Survivors include his mother, Anna Marie Holtz of Auburn Township: brothers, Carl C. (Susan) Holtz of Solon and William H. (Sharon) Holtz of Mantua. Fred was the dear uncle of 5 and great-uncle of 3. He was preceded in death in 1996 by his father, Bernard S. Holtz. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service in Mantua. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday May 14, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Helen's Catholic Church,12060 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87) Newbury with the Rev. Fr. Jay McPhillips officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH) Final resting place will follow at Shadyside Cemetery in Auburn Township.
