Gary Belknap's Obituary
Gary L. Belknap, age 54 of Garrettsville, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, March 3, 2025. Born July 24, 1970 in Ravenna, Ohio, he was the son of the late Delmos and Gail (Hembree) Belknap.
Gary was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School and spent his career as a truck driver. He was and avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and never missed an opportunity to support his great nephews football games and sporting events. Gary was a member of the Garrettsville Eagles and a longtime member of a Pool League.
Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother Willard Belknap in 2024, whom he really missed.
Gary is survived by his sisters, Loretta Belknap and Wanda (Adam) Bly, numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews, his close friend Jen Gregorek and Tux, his cat. Gary was a good family man and family was very important to him.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, (at the corner of St. Rt. 44), Mantua, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 4-6 pm, with a funeral service to start at 6 pm. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Nelson Community Building.
