Gary Lee Lehman's Obituary
Gary Lee Lehman, 80 years of age, passed away April 7, 2014 in Yuma, Arizona. Born March 1, 1934 in Paden City,West Virginia, he was the son of the late Fredrick and Gladys (Petty) Lehman. Gary lived in Shalersville, Ohio as a teen-ager and graduated from Mantua High School in 1952 and entered the U.S. Air Force. He proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam Era as a Flight Engineer, retiring in 1972 with 20 years of active duty. In 1977 he and his wife sold their home in Layton, Utah and in a recreational vehicle lived and traveled the United States, including Alaska, Canada and Mexico for over 36 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing were his enjoyment. He had a guide service for salmon fishing in Washington State and he and his fishing partner went on many deep sea fishing trips for yellow fin tuna. He was the happiest when he was involved with outdoor activities. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Anna Lee (McGarry) Lehman, children Wade (Telatha "Sissy" ) Lehman of De Funiak, Springs, Florida; Valeria Antonetty of Batavia, New York; Randal (Eleanor "Nikki" Tripp) Lehman of Louisville, Kentucky; Eight grandchildren, Fifteen great-grandchildren, a special brother-in-law and his wife, Harvey and Laura McGarry of Allentown, Pennsylvania, 5 nieces and 1 nephew and many cousins and friends across the United States. He was preceded in death by his step-father Herbert H. Schaller, father-in-law and mother-in-law Harvey and Arlene McGarry, brother Fredrick Lehman,Jr., nephew Harvey McGarry, Jr. and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday June 20,2015 2:00 P.M. at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village, Ohio with Rev. Carolyn Berry officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by U.S. States Air Force Honor Guard Team, assisted by Mantua American Legion Post No. 193. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
