Giavanni "Gino" Brooks' Obituary
Giavanni "Gino" "Gio" Brooks 22 years of age of Shalersville became Our Gift to God on Thursday January 1, 2009 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. "Gio" was God's Gift to Us on September 21, 1986 in Akron, Ohio and had been a lifetime loving resident of the Hattie Larlham Center. He was a graduate of Outreach Academy. "Gio" had a charismatic and loving smile that reached out to everyone with whom he came in contact with, thus the world has been blessed with his life on earth. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his devoted mother and father Margo (Brooks) and Steve Vincent of Westlake, his dear brother Steve Vincent of Michigan, his beloved grandmothers Tina Brooks of Cleveland and Ella Vincent of Elyria and great-grandmother Mary Brooks of Cleveland. Also surviving is his caring uncle Jamern Brooks and aunt Sophia Brooks and many other loving family members. "Gio" leaves to mourn his passing his special family at Hattie's and Fonzetta. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where calling hours will be from 1:00 P.M. until the service time. Assisting with the services for "Gio" will be close family friends, special selected Bible readings, and a musical tribute by Tiana "Nooney" Lavender. NO BLACK CLOTHING PLEASE. It is requested that the life of "Gio" be remembered with bright, festive clothing as this is a celebration of his life.
