Glenn E. Lester's Obituary
MANTUAGlenn E. Lester, 83 years of age, passed away Saturday December 5, 2015 at his home. Born in Panther, West Virginia on December 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Avery and Bertha (Vance) Lester. A resident of the Mantua area since 1968, Glenn had been employed at Chrysler Stamping in Twinsburg, retiring after 30 years of service in 1993. He was an honorable veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country in the U.S. Navy. Glenn was a computer whiz, he especially enjoyed cooking, gardening and his adventures of traveling abroad. Glenn cherished the relationships with his nieces, nephews and family. He is survived by his sisters Geraldine Lester of Mantua and Evelyn (Tom) Galinac of Mayfield Village, nieces Lynnette (Matthew) Hull of Powell, Ohio and Kathy (Kevin) Yankton of California, nephews Ray (Debbie) Lester of Mantua, James (Deshel) Lester of Burton, Thomas Galinac, Jr., of Virginia, Richard (Kelly) Galinac of Chardon, Chadd (Lori) Lester of Willowick and Todd (Kris) Lester of Chardon, as well as several other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his sister Anna Rouzer and brothers Donald and Larry Lester. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where his funeral service will be held Thursday December 10, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Murray Bay. Glenn will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township, Ohio with full military honors provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard Team, assisted by Mantua American Legion Post No. 193.Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Todd Lester, Chadd Lester, Thomas Galinac, Jr., Richard Galinac, Collin Hull and James Lester.
