Glenys G. Scott's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Glenys G. Scott, 87 years of age of Garrettsville, passed away Tuesday February 2, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on November 1, 1922 in Manatoba, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Gertrude (Randolph) Kellough. Formerly of Ravenna, she was a Garrettsville resident since 1998. Glenys was employed for several years at Alexander's Grocery & Tavern at Mantua Corners, following which she worked at Troy Manufacturing in Burton until her retirement. Glenys enjoyed playing Bingo and loved to play cards with her family, including playing (Poker) for money. She was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua. Survivors include her children Jeanne (George) Vaughan-Tancos and Karen Furgerson both of Garrettsville, Darla (Eugene) McCauslin of Ravenna, Joyce (Paul) Hahn, Bill, Dick and Tom Scott all of Rootstown, Polly (John) Cain and Willy Scott both of Atwater and James Bogardus of Tucson, Arizona; 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Scott in 1998 and her sisters Muriel Geoffray and Eleanor Jobin. Visitation will be Friday February 5, 2010 from 6:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will begin at 7:30 P.M. with Rev. Douglas Riley officiating. Glenys will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township.
