SHALERSVILLE
Guy W. Battiest, 58 years of age of Shalersville, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2022 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. Born in Madison, Ohio on January 15, 1964, he was the son of Quentin and Sharlene (Young) Battiest. He was a long time Shalersville area resident, and a 1982 graduate of Crestwood High School. Guy had been employed at A.I.M. in Aurora as a receiving materials lead. Camping, being outdoors, antiquing and hanging out with family were things he enjoyed doing, as well as spending time riding his Harley. On May 24, 1986, he married Fran (Pennock) Battiest who survives at home. Also surviving are his children, Douglas,(Kara Jackson) Battiest of Freedom, Mitchell at home, Savannah (C.J.) Stamp of Cuyahoga Falls, Alicia (Josh Prokay) Battiest of Kent, and Autumm (Tyler Olson) Battiest of Shalersville; his father Quentin (Carol ) Battiest of Streetsboro; his siblings, Eric (Vivian) Battiest of Streetsboro, Travis Battiest of D.C., Levana (Todd) Gilbert and Daphne (Rick) Cwalina, both of Oklahoma. His grandchildren Curtis and Evelyn also survive. Guy was preceded in death by his mother Sharlene Battiest. Memorial visitation will be Saturday July 23, 2022, from 1:00 P.M.- 3:00 P.M., where a brief service will then begin at 3:00 P.M., at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service 4668 Pioneer Trail at St. Rt. 44 Mantua, Ohio 44255. Immediately following the visitation friends and family are invited to return to the family residence for a time of fellowship.
