Guy J. Windsor's Obituary
HIRAM-GARRETTSVILLE Guy J. Windsor, 62 years of age, passed away Thursday March 12, 2015 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in East Cleveland, Ohio on June 24, 1952, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary Anne (McGavern) Windsor. A resident of the Hiram and Garrettsville areas since 1990, he grew up in Cuyahoga County and was a 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School. Mr. Windsor was a member of Teamsters Local No. 507, and had been a truck driver at both DLT and FAB Express in Streetsboro. He was a member of the Hiram Christian Church. While he enjoyed playing the guitar, he also was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, an animal lover, and will be remembered by his family for the special times he spent with them camping and boating. On August 12, 1978, he married Kaye M. (Stickel) Windsor, who along with his daughter Rose Windsor reside at their home in Hiram. Also surviving is his son Scott (Laura) Windsor of Ravenna, brothers Clarence (Sandy) Windsor of Windham, Mark Windsor of Cleveland, sisters Margaret Windsor of Lakewood, Ellen Steele of Cleveland, Sharon (Buddy) Peaco of North Olmstead, and his mother-in-law Margaret Stickel of Lakewood. He was preceded in death by his sister Roseanne Windsor. No calling hours. Cremation has been held A Memorial Service for Mr. Windsor will be held Tuesday March 17, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at the Hiram Christian Church with Rev. Roger McKinney officiating. A time of fellowship for family and friends will follow at the church. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
