Hatty "Tina" Slone's Obituary
Hatty Elizabeth Slone, affectionately known as Tina to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 5, 1965, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Tina was a beacon of love and faith throughout her sixty years of life.
Tina's early years were spent in the town of her birth, where she grew up in a lively household with her parents and siblings. She was a 1984 graduate of Crestwood High School, where she formed lifelong friendships. After graduation, Tina dedicated her life to the culinary arts, working as a cook and bringing joy to many through her delicious creations.
Tina's life was characterized by her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a cherished mother to Ashley (Mike) Yanovich, David (Ashley) Rodhe and Charlene Rodhe (Shane Farmer). Her role as a grandmother was one she held dear, bestowing love and wisdom upon her grandchildren Tyler, Kaylee, Olivia, Isaac, Amy, Tessa, Anna (Matt), Layla, Jayden, Ava, and Aria. She was a guiding light in their lives and her legacy will continue through them.
Preceded in death by her parents, William (Goldie) Slone and Sierra Slone, and siblings John Weathers and Doris Ann Slone, Tina is survived by her children, grandchildren, and siblings William (Linda) Slone, Sue (John) Chambers, Evelyn Slone (Allan Lasko), and Waltraud Loehlein. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, her friend John Bryant, and all of her grandpups, who brought her immense joy and companionship.
Tina's life was a testament to her loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled spirit. She was actively involved in her church, where she found great solace and community. Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt; she loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether it was on shopping trips, volunteering together, cooking for loved ones, especially at Hattie Larlham, or enjoying family vacations to the beach. Tina's love for elephants was well-known, and her collection of elephant memorabilia was a source of delight for her and her visitors.
Her home was always filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and movies, which she enjoyed watching with her grandchildren. Tina's approach to life was one of positivity and generosity, always putting others before herself and spreading kindness wherever she went.
Tina's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, yet her influence remains a powerful presence. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her fiesty spirit, and her ability to make every person she met feel like family. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated, as she has left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
Tina's life will be honored in a service that reflects the warmth and light she brought into this world. Her family will gather to share memories, support one another, and commemorate a life truly well-lived-a life that exemplified love, family, and faith. Hatty Elizabeth Slone will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
