Helen T. Czarnecki's Obituary
MANTUA-SOLON Helen T. Czarnecki, 92 years of age, passed away Monday October 10, 2011 at Aurora Manor in Aurora, Ohio. Born on September 9, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Szfranski) Cichocki. Formerly of Solon, Ohio, she had been a Mantua area resident since 1986. A member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua, she also was a former longtime member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Solon. A homemaker, she will be remembered as a lady who would give the shirt off of her back and help anyone without hesitation. While she loved crocheting, her enjoyment and talent extended to crocheting baby blankets for her great-grandchildren as well as her grandchildren. On April 15, 1944, she married Casimer Czarnecki who preceded her in death in 1980.Also preceding her were her son Richard, 1 brother and 2 sisters and 3 great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children Donald (Carol) Czarnecki of Northfield Center, Sharon (Bruce) Brown and Karen Beer both of Mantua Township and her brother Ted Cichocki of North Royalton, Ohio, and 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Saturday at 8:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday October 15, 2011 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mantua with Rev. Fr. Michael Garvey officiating. Mrs. Czarnecki will then be laid to rest beside her loving husband Casimer at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
