Helen T. Lukas' Obituary
MANTUA TWP. Helen T. Lukas, 80 years of age of Mantua Township, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2009 at her residence. Born November 29, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio she was the daughter of the late John and Bronislawa (Karmil) Koczan. A resident of the Mantua area the past 47 years, Mrs. Lukas had been employed as a assembly operator at the Pultrusion Company in Aurora for 15 years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing poker and was an avid animal lover. On June 20, 1947 she married James R. Lukas who preceded her in death in 2005. Survivors include her sons James R. (Lynne) Lukas of Rootstown, Daniel R. Lukas of Brimfield, her daughter Gail ( Robert) Blair and Holly (Ed) Kodash both of Hiram and Sandi (Paul) Horvath of Aurora, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. No calling hours. Cremation has been held. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Lukas will be Friday June 5, 2009 at 5:00 P.M. at Hope Community Church 3033 Middleton Rd. Hudson, Ohio with Pastor Jerry Witt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Robinson Memorial Hospital Hospice-Visiting Nurse. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
