Helen Louise Ramsey's Obituary
AUBURN TWP. Helen Louise Ramsey, 88 years of age, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday December 19, 2015. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Katie (Helton) Hein. A homemaker, Helen had been an Auburn Township resident since 1965, and was a member of the Auburn Community Church. Helen was a very gifted lady who throughout her life made her own clothing and soap, was skilled at crafts, and the art of rug hooking. She took great pride in her flower gardens, wildflowers being her passion. While she had these talents, Helen's family, and the mutual love that she shared with all of them, will forever be the most cherished memories she leaves with her passing. On July 26, 1946, she married her loving husband Floyd E. Ramsey who survives at their home. Also surviving are her children Diana (Marc Krol) Cathan of Middlefield, Michael (Kitty) Ramsey of Middlefield, Bruce (Barbara) Conner-Ramsey of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gregory Ramsey of Auburn Township, Mark (Patricia) Ramsey of Shalersville and John (Rebecca) Ramsey of Munson Township. Her brother William (Irene) Hein of Bainbridge Township, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by siblings John and Don Hein, Dorothy Mitchell and Geraldine Kulisz. Calling hours will be Tuesday December 22, 2015 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, (S. of Rt. 422). A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday December 23, 2015, 1:30 P.M. at Maple Shade Cemetery in Auburn Township. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to UH-Hospice, the Auburn Township Fire department or the Auburn Community Church.
