Helen R. Segedy's Obituary
Helen R. Segedy (nee Alosi), age 100 of Aurora, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 1, 2023 at The Aurora Manor Care Center. Born November 15, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Santo and Margaret (Lupresti) Alosi. Helen attended John Adams High School in Cleveland and went on to work at Lion Tailors as a seamstress, where she met her beloved husband Andrew B. Segedy. Helen had a true passion for clothing. She also enjoyed cooking, catering and staying home, taking care of her house, but her biggest joy was her family, especially her 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She cherished every opportunity to celebrate each birthday and holiday as a special occasion. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Andrew in 1978. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Santo and Margaret Alosi and her siblings Frank, Mary, Nick, Tony, Theresa, Angie, and Rose. She is survived by her loving son Andrew (Roberta Kendall); grandchildren Andrea (Rodney) and Lindsey (Joe); great grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Abigail, Caleb and Olivia; and a brother Dominic of Arizona. Family will receive friends at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua (at the corner of St. Rt. 44), Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4-7 p.m., with a funeral service to start at 6:45 p.m. A private burial will take place at Aurora City Cemetery.
