Henry O. Jakob's Obituary
RAVENNA Henry O. Jakob, 88 years of age, passed away Monday February 9, 2015 at The Woodlands in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Akron, Ohio on September 14, 1926, he was the son of the late John and Rosa (Stoff) Jakob. A former resident of Ravenna, Brother Jakob and his wife were devoted members of the Jehovah's Witnesses Ravenna Congregation, and he was involved in the Traveling Ministry of the World Wide Witnesses Organization from 1960, returning to Ravenna in 1990. For many years, he was the Presiding Brother of the Ravenna Congregation. Henry will also be remembered by his family and friends as his care and love for many kitties. On July 2, 1955, he married Nancy (Ruhlman) Jakob who survives at their home. Also surviving is his brother Robert (Sandy) France of Mantua, and sisters Eppi Kuss of Kansas and Ilene Grigsby of California, as well as many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Steve Jakob, and sisters Rose Gross, Helen Dull and Kathryn Murray. No calling hours. Brother Jakob is being laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna, Ohio. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in his name to the Jehovah's Witnesses World Wide Organization. Brother Jakob's family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the Brotherhood for their support and kindness to Henry.
