Herbert Lee Hamilton's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Herbert Lee Hamilton, 77 years of age, passed away Monday August 24, 2015 at University Hospital-Geauga Regional Medical Center in Clairdon Township, Ohio. Born in McComas, West Virginia on October 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Arkie C. and Leah E. (Louk) Hamilton. A lifetime resident of Garrettsville, Mr. Hamilton had been employed at American International Construction in Berea, Ohio in building restoration, retiring after 35 years of service. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. An avid bowler at Sky Lanes in Garrettsville, he achieved 4-300 games during his bowling career. Fishing, golfing, and as "Papa" to his grandson Evan, whom he loved watching him playing at all of his sporting activities, were special times that Mr. Hamilton enjoyed. On June 20, 1960, he married his beloved wife Annette (Komandt) Hamilton who survives at their home. Also surviving is his devoted daughter Mistine (Dr. Eric) Paul of Garrettsville his dear siblings Bill (Lois) Hamilton of Warren, Ohio, Carolyn (William) Johnson of Ravenna and Vonda Marstiller of Streetsboro, Ohio and his loving grandson Evan Wensel. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death in 1972 by his loving daughter Kimberly Dawn Hamilton and by his sisters Claire Wooddell, Delores Tacy, Margaret Lambert and Ellen Alderman and his brother Arkie Hamilton, Jr. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44,Mantua, Ohio 44255, where his funeral services will be held Friday August 28, 2015 1:00 P.M. Mr. Hamilton will then be laid to rest at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, Ohio where full military honors will be provided by the U.S. States Air Force Honor Guard, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193.
