Ida Keiper's Obituary
MANTUA Ida Keiper, 76 years of age, passed away Monday August 6, 2012 at her residence. Born on November 11, 1935 in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Emma (Dionisio) Perazzola. A homemaker, she had been a resident of the Mantua area since 1967.Mrs. Keiper was involved in many activities and participated in a variety of worthwhile causes such as PTA, Room Mother, Softball Coach, Boy and Girl Scouts, Crestwood Band Patrons, and Federated Democratic Women of Portage County, and had served on the Democratic Central Executive Committee for over 20 years. She also volunteered to prepare income taxes for the elderly and was active in The Church of Jesus Christ Kirtland Restoration Branch. She leaves these thoughts to those she loves: "Goodbye to my family and friends. I hope that the paths we have traveled and passed were good ones. I pray that we will meet again in God's Kingdom. Make the most of and celebrate your gift of life. So grieve for me awhile, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. It's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories with your heart."On November 9, 1956, she married Charles W. Keiper who survives at their residence. Also surviving are her children Charles W. (Bonnie) Keiper,II of Sugar Bush Knolls, Faith Keiper and Linda (Joe) Pallotto both of Mantua and Cindy (Carmen) Iozzia of Charlotte, North Carolina, siblings Pete and Nick Perazzola both of Pennsylvania, Agnes Pinkney of Concord, Ohio, Lundy Fisco of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Stella Nixon of Twinsburg, and her grandchildren Sara, Michael, Spencer, Nathan and Lauren. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Friday August 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Elder Bruce Livengood officiating. Final resting place for Mrs. Keiper will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorials in her name be made to the 4C's in Mantua.
