Jackie M. Carter's Obituary
WINDHAM Jackie M. Carter, 60 years of age, passed away Monday January 5, 2015 at her residence. Born in Ravenna, Ohio on July 21, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Thelma (Williams) McCauley. A resident of Windham for over 40 years, she had been employed at Allen Aircraft in Ravenna for 15 years. Jackie loved spending time with her family, especially her "grandbabies" and traveling. On October 14, 1972, she married the love of her life, Roscoe S. "Popeye" Carter, Jr., whose passing took place on January 25, 2014 after 41 years of loving marriage. She is survived by her children Ronald Carter of Windham, Malinda (James) Loftus of Chardon, Ohio and Robert (Debbie) Carter of Missouri, 3 grandchildren Dustin Carter, Rebecca Loftus and Rachel Loftus and 2 great-grandchildren Khloe Rae and Owen Myles. Also surviving are her sisters Cathy (Denny) Dye and Jean Parnaby both of Niles, Ohio and Nancy Starcher of Hiram, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Williams. Calling hours will be Saturday January 10, 2015 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Final resting place will be at Windham Township Cemetery. Jackie's family would like to extend their appreciation for the great care and loving support that the Hospice of Robinson Memorial Hospital provided in her final days.
