Jacob "Jake" Kindlesparker's Obituary
MANTUA Jacob H. "Jake" Kindlesparker, 80 years of age, passed away Saturday November 5, 2011 at Marymount Hospital in Garfield Hts., Ohio. Born on July 24, 1931 in Akron, Ohio he was the son of the late Jacob A. and Hazel (McCroy) Kindlesparker. A lifetime area resident, Jake was employed at Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron for 26 years, retiring in 1993. Jake played the saxophone with the Gabe Nardella Band in Akron, and also with the Phil Palumbo Band. A man of many talents, he was a gifted painter using both water colors and oils, as well as a master of pencil sketches. Jake also was a talented woodworker making clocks and rocking horses for his family and had even constructed his own ceramic guitar. On June 19, 1965, he married Susan J. (Auth) Kindlesparker who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Jeff (Allyson) Kindlesparker of Garrettsville, Kelley "K.P." Pesicek of Ravenna, Janice Harris of Tonasket, Washington and Sara Lynn (Carl) Mesaros of Coshocton, Ohio, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vian Jones. Calling hours will be Friday November 11, 2011 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral service will begin at 7:00 P.M. Jake will be laid to rest Saturday November 12, 2011 at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio at 11:30 A.M.
