To the family of Pastor James Beatty, Jesus says: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20I wish to thank you for the gift of eternal life that is mine as a result of your beloved Pastor Beatty's faithfulness to His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in proclaiming the Gospel. I was born and raised Catholic. I thank God for those roots because never do I remember a time in my life when I doubted or questioned the existence of an eternal, all-knowing, all-supreme God. But it was one day in October of 1980 when at the invitation of my beautiful sister, I found myself sitting in a pew at Troy Baptist Church. “Just as I Am” began playing with the invitation Pastor Beatty had just issued following his sermon… I lingered… I was afraid of going forward in front of so many people I didn’t know… I didn’t think I could move but I knew I couldn’t stay where I was any longer. I knew I needed Jesus. And this was my opportunity. I went forward and all of a sudden everything I had learned throughout my life about God and Jesus came together in what I came to know through Pastor Beatty as “the plan of salvation”. It all finally made sense. I had never before heard a sermon in English that I could understand. But Pastor Beatty’s message was clear. I was a sinner. And Jesus was my only hope.I stumbled my way through some pretty tough and ugly stuff over the next number of years… but “He, who began a good work, is faithful to complete it.” “Working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose, that those whom He foreknew He also did predestine to be conformed to the image of His Son.”Thank you Pastor Beatty. “Well done, (His) good and faithful servant.” Thank You, Jesus, my Lord and my Savior. Death has already been swallowed up in victory. The grave cannot keep the one in whose veins flows the blood of Jesus Christ. He has forever made alive those who have asked Him to come into their hearts and save them from their sin.I rejoice with you in his arrival home. May God comfort your hearts as only He can in your earthly loss.
I will be forever grateful for the love, guidance and friendship my daughters and I were shown by Pastor Beatty and his family. He showed us how to walk in the light of the Lord through his preaching and by example. He will be missed by my family and I’m sure by many. I know you are serving your Master face to face now James and Heaven is rejoicing of your presence. My love and prayers and condolences to your family.
Pastor Beatty has always been an encouragement to other preachers. He always had an encouraging word when you were around him.

So blessed to be family relative of Pastor James Beatty, Charlotte K. And family. I spoke more than several times with them both about personal matters. They were a great team! Their kids, have always had the same love from Jesus to share. I am honored to be their family. I know Heaven is celebrating with a welcome party for Pastor James, and those that are there with him.
