James F. Fano, 71 years of age, passed away Saturday March 14, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Fano was born in Rushville, Illinois on June 9, 1948 the son of the late Calvin and Grace (Schieferdecker) Fano. A resident of the Hiram area the past 4 years, he formerly was a long time Valley View resident, and a graduate of Max Hayes High School. Mr. Fano had been employed as a pipefitter for local # 120 in Cleveland until his retirement. His building skills were such that he built two homes in Valley View where the family resided in. An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, he also was talented in the painting of cars that he owned, and enjoyed fishing. On July 1, 1972, Mr. Fano married his beloved wife Barbara J. (Smith) Fano who survives at their home. Also surviving are his devoted children James (Emily) Fano of Parma, Brandy (Michael) Lang of Mantua and Laura Fano of Broadview Hts. His dear siblings Martin (Illeen) Fano of North Royalton, Joanne Kish of Streetsboro, and his loving grandchildren Michael, Jimmy, Grace and Jacob also survive. No calling hours.
