James W. Hoffman's Obituary
NELSON TWP.James W. Hoffman, 68 years of age of Nelson Township, passed away Thursday April 24, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Lake Milton, Ohio on July 15, 1945, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Doak) Hoffman. A resident of Nelson Township the past 45 years, he had been employed by BASF as a fork lift operator retiring after 44 years of service. He loved the outdoors, four wheeling, hunting and fishing and going to swap meets. Spending time with his family and Ford trucks were also special to him. On August 15, 1968, he married his loving wife of 45 years Marilyn (Bell) Hoffman who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Jimmy Hoffman and Kelly (Harold) Reynolds both of Southington, Michael Hoffman of Mantua and Debby (Steve) Miller of Garrettsville, 7 grandchildren Craig, Kyle, Nathan, Cole, Corey, Sarah and Samantha, and his brother Dale (Karen) Hoffman of Southington, and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday April 28, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Green family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St. Rt. 44 at the corner of 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua where his funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Hospice of Western Reserve.
