Obituary
MANTUA
James A. McCoy, 86 years of age, of Mantua, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022. Born on December 30, 1935 in Mammoth, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Paul and Vertie (King) McCoy. A Mantua resident since 1977, Mr. McCoy had been employed at MOPAR in Streetsboro, in the warehouse, where he retired in 2005 after 46 years of service. Mr. McCoy proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, and also in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed all sports, was a great bowler, collected miniature cars, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Survivors include his children Bernard (Susan) McCoy of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, Mark (Charlene) McCoy of Papillion, Nebraska, Mary Moore of Mantua, and Sandra (Mark) Simpson of Garrettsville; his brother Larry McCoy of West Virginia; 8 grand-children, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Jean McCoy on August 22, 2017, and his brother John Paul McCoy. No calling hours or services. Cremation has been held.
