James E. Riley's Obituary
SHALERSVILLEJames E. Riley, 76 years of age of Shalersville, passed away Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Born on November 7, 1933 in Northfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lewis W. and Ethel (Porter) Riley. A longtime Shalersville area resident, Mr. Riley formerly was the manager of Pine Manor Mobile Home Park in Shalersville and had been employed as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Mantua Lodge No. 533 F.&A.M., and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and working with computers. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Riley and grandson Skyeleor Wells both in 1993 and his son James R. Riley. Survivors include 2 sons Steven M. and Patrick E. Riley both of Tennessee, 2 daughters Sheri L. (Frank) Locher of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Sheila C. (Kenneth) Wells and sister Sally (Bob) Wyatt both of South Carolina, as well as 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his special friend and loving companion Sandra Lattimer of Shalersville. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday May 12, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township at 2:00 P.M. Military Honors will be provided by a U.S. Navy Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 193. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
