Obituary
MANTUA
James E. Schubert, 59 years of age, passed away Tuesday March 24, 2020 at his home. Born in San Antonio, Texas on November 27, 1960, he was the son of Henry and Nancy (Miller) Schubert. Recently living in Leavittsburg, Jim had been a longtime Mantua resident, a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua, and a 1978 graduate of Crestwood High School. Jim was a gifted woodworker, a talented mechanic and enjoyed building computers. He kept himself busy with projects, however, never hesitated to set them aside to lend his skills to family and friends in need. Jim was also an excellent cook and truly loved sharing this talent with family. Jim is preceded in death by this father, Henry Schubert. Jim is survived by his wife, Veronica (Grogan) Schubert. Mother; Nancy (Miller) Schubert. Brothers; David Schubert (Kathleen) and Steven Schubert (Judith). Sister; Laura Schneer. His children; Jessica Hull (Christopher) and James Schubert (Renee) and their mother, Jim’s former spouse, Bonnie Schubert. Grandchildren; Elisabeth and Theodore Hull, and fourteen nieces and nephews. He is mourned by family gained from his recent marriage: mother-in-law Shirley Grigelaitis, Veronica’s daughter, Carly Spencer (Maxwell) and granddaughter, Milyn. In light of the current pandemic and gathering restrictions, Jim’s memorial will be held at a later date so family and friends can gather as he wanted. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua where condolences and memories may be viewed at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
