James Vokurka's Obituary
LAKE MILTON James J. "Yukon" Vokurka, 64 years of age, passed away Wednesday April 6, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, Ohio. Born on February 16, 1947 in Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late James and Marie (Endischova) Vokurka. Formerly a longtime Cleveland area resident, he had lived in Lake Milton the past 4 years. A graduate of Kenston High School, he had been employed by Trans International in Valley View as a truck driver until his retirement. "Yukon" enjoyed fishing, was a Harley Rider, loved animals and had a special love for his grandchildren and the time he spent with them. Survivors include his son James Vokurka of Streetsboro, his daughter Jill (Darrell) Gullett of Mantua, brother Richard (Joann) Vokurka of Auburn, grandchildren Andrew and Nicholas Gullett and his "Loving Honey" Elizabeth Lelo of Lake Milton. Also surviving are his 4-legged children "Sammy", Peanut" and "Miska". Calling hours will be Monday April 11, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said at 7:45 P.M."Yukon" will be laid to rest at Shadyside Cemetery in Auburn Township at a private family burial.
