Jane H. Moulton's Obituary
AURORAJane H. Moulton, 83 years of age of Aurora, passed away Thursday September 24, 2009 at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Hts., Ohio. Mrs. Moulton was born March 16, 1926 in Buffalo, New York. On May 22, 1948, she married Charles F. Moulton who preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Moulton is survived by her son Andrew F. (Tamara) Moulton of Hilliard, Ohio, her daughters Cassandra Moulton-Arble (Robert) of Pittsboro, North Carolina and Linda (John) Matey of Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are her two grandchildren Elizabeth Moulton and John Matey. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Jane (Newman) Helbig. Mrs. Moulton was a resident of Aurora since 1958, and was a very active member of the Church In Aurora. A graduate of Michigan State College, she was employed from 1967-1992 by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as Associate Food Editor and Wine Columnist. A member of the American Wine Society, she was Editor of the Society's Journal until May of 2008. An award winning writer, Mrs. Moulton wrote for Cleveland magazine, was a freelance food writer, and used her extensive photography skills for the Plain Dealer and numerous other publications. She was a member of the Western Reserve Herb Society and also a renowned National Wine Judge. She enjoyed gardening at her home in Aurora. No calling hours. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Her Life will be Tuesday September 29, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at the Church In Aurora with Rev. Kevin Horak officiating, Mrs. Moulton is being laid to rest at Aurora City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either her church or the American Lung Society.
