AURORA
Janice R. Wilkins, 90 years of age, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2019 at her home. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana on January 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Carrie (Rapp) Rudd. She was a 1947 graduate of Wiley High School in Terre Haute, following which she attended Indiana State Teachers College graduating in 1950 with a degree in Education. A longtime resident of Aurora and Russell Township, Mrs. Wilkins had been employed as a legal secretary at the law firm of Woodward & Griffiths in Chagrin Falls for many years, and was founder and co-owner with her husband of RW Machine & Tool in Shalersville. An avid reader, she also enjoyed traveling, gambling, and her family and the food they shared together. She was preceded in death on April 22, 2002 by her beloved husband Robert L. Wilkins, and her brother Robert Rudd also preceded her in death. Janice is survived by her devoted children Michael (Colleen) Wilkins of Broadview Hts., Ohio, Brenda (Mike May) Anderson of Stow and Leslie (R.John-deceased) Whitehead of Rochester, New York; and her loving grandchildren Janet, Brad, Rob, Rhiannon, Ben, Rachel, John Robert, Johnny, Steven and Ashley, and 9 great-grandchildren. No calling hours. An Open House at the New Hampton Club House, 1400 Hamilton Dr. Broadview Hts. Oh. 44146 will be held on Saturday September 28, 2019 from 3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, 83 N. Miller Rd., Suite 1, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
