Jean C. Doraski's Obituary
GARRETSVILLE Jean C. Doraski, 81 years of age, passed away Friday August 11, 2017 in Middlefield, Ohio. Born on July 21, 1936 in Nelson Township, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Dorcie (Harper) Cooper. A homemaker, Jean was a lifetime resident of the Garrettsville-Nelson area , where she was a member of the Nelson United Methodist church, being active with the God Provides A Meal program of her church. She also was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society. Jean enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and canning for her family, and had a passion for playing bingo to say the least. Her devotion to family will forever be remembered by those she loved, and who also loved her. On October 24, 1958, she married John J. Doraski, Jr. who preceded her in death on August 17, 2007. Also preceding were her siblings Curtis, Dale, Gary, Leon, Hazel, Marjorie and Doris. She is survived by her children John F. (Renee) Doraski of Garrettsville, Kathy Houghton of Newton Falls and Denise Wargo of Jamestown, Pennsylvania; brother Carl Cooper of Austintown, Ohio, sister Grace Blair of Garrettsville; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday August 15, 2017, 1:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where visitation will be held from 12:30 P. M. until service time. Officiating will be Pastor John Wolfe, with final resting place to follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township.
