Jean House's Obituary
HIRAMJean Louise House, 83 years of age, passed away Monday February 2, 2015 at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Born in Bloom Center, Ohio on May 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Nellie (Hone) Evans. A longtime resident of Kettering, Ohio, she moved to Hiram, Ohio in 2013.Mrs. House was a homemaker, and as a resident of Kettering, she volunteered in numerous community groups, and was an active member of Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church in Kettering. While she enjoyed quilting and reading, Mrs. House will forever be remembered of her love for pets, her family and grandchildren, and the special devotion that she gave to her son Jeff. Surviving are her son Jeff House, daughter Susan (Steve) Hurd and grandchildren Philip and Allison Hurd all of Hiram and her sister Phyllis Davis of Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was preceded in death in February of 2003 by her husband of 50 years Philip A. House, and a brother Carl M. Evans also preceded her. No calling hours. A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. House will be held Friday February 13, 2015, 5:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, Ohio with Rev. Chad Delaney officiating. Final resting place for Mrs. House is at Plum Cemetery, Lewistown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, 4417 Bigger Rd., Kettering, Ohio 45440.Her obituary is at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
