Jimmy C. Peterson's Obituary
WINDHAM-GARRETTSVILLE Jimmy C. Peterson, 81 years of age, passed away Wednesday October 23, 2013 at St. Joseph's Health Center in Warren, Ohio.
Born on September 27, 1932 in Littleton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Brice and Ruth ( Anderson) Peterson. He was a lifetime resident of the Windham-Garrettsville areas.
Jimmy had been employed in the maintenance department at Polson Rubber, then at Denman Tire. He also worked side-by-side with his son Daniel at Gee-Ville Auto Parts for 15 years. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Jimmy enjoyed camping in " The Honey" with his wife and the family cookouts that he had with his family, as his children, grandchildren and family were the most important things in his life. An avid basketball fan, he also enjoyed working with wood.
On October 4, 1958, he married Wanda Lou (Wenger) Peterson who survives at their home, and their love for each other will forever be cherished.
Also surviving are his devoted sons Daniel (Jama) Peterson and Terry Peterson both of Garrettsville, his dear sister Sharon (Barry) Ritchey of Indiana, and his loving grandchildren Krista, Zachary, McKenzie, Austin and McKayla. Preceding him in death was his brother Brice Peterson, Jr. and sister Charlotte Royer.
No calling hours. Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of His Life will be announced at a later date.
