Joan M. Lawley's Obituary
AURORA Joan M. Lawley, 74 years of age, passed away Wednesday October 1, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Born in Cleveland on September 24, 1940, she had been a resident of Aurora the past 22 years. Mrs. Lawley had been employed as a sales clerk at K-Mart in Solon, Ohio.A former member of the First Baptist Church in Aurora, she presently was a member of Parkside Chapel. A member of the Aurora Senior Center and the Red Hats Society, she was an avid doll collector and enjoyed playing cards in her leisure time. Survivors include her husband Arlie Lawley at their home, sons David ( Kathy) Mitchell of Aurora, Terry (David Darnell) Mitchell of Cleveland, her daughter Debbie Wright of North Carolina, her sisters Betty Anne (Michael) Zysek of Florida, Harriett and her husband Durwood of Mentor, Ohio, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday October 4, 2014 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Town Hall in Bainbridge Township, Ohio. Cremation has taken place with her final resting place to be at Friendship Cemetery in Lewisville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Foundation. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
